The Abbeyside Mass - Lyrics
Opening : We are gathered
We are gathered in His name
We are gathered in His name
In His name, in His name
We are gathered in His name
We have come to hear His word
We have come to hear His word
Hear His word, hear His word
We have come to hear His word
We will sing our praise to God
We will sing our praise to God
Praise to God, praise to God
We will sing our praise to God
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
(counter-melody)
Christ have mercy, mercy on me (Christ have mercy, Christ have mercy, Christ have mercy on me)
Christ have mercy (Christ have mercy, Christ have mercy)
Christ have mercy on me (Christ have mercy on me)
Lord have mercy, mercy on me (Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me)
Lord have mercy (Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy)
Lord have mercy on me (Lord have mercy on me)
Psalm 92
Response :
It is good to give your thanks to the Lord
It is good to sing and praise His name
1. Proclaim His love in the morning
And His faithfulness into the night
2. Be glad in what God is doing
Let your music be His joy
3. The righteous flourish forever
In the courtyards of our God
4. The Rock, exalted forever
We, His fruit have come to testify
Offertory : We Believe
We believe in the bread
And the blood that he shed
We believe. We believe
We believe in the bread
And the blood that he shed
We believe. O Lord, we believe
Instrumental piece
In this sacrifice
We will find new life
We believe. We believe
In this sacrifice
We will find new life
We believe. O Lord, we believe
Holy Holy
Hosanna! Hosanna!
God of power, God of might
Holy, holy Lord.
Blessed is the one who comes
In the name of the Lord
Blessed is the one who comes
In the name of the Lord
Hosanna! Hosanna!
Consecration Acclamation
Christ has died, Christ is risen
Christ will come again
Present now on the altar
Praised be Christ our King!
Our Father
Our Father who is in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us our daily bread
And forgive our trespasses
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation.
Deliver us from evil.
Lamb of God
Lamb of God, take away our sins
Lamb of God, take away our sins
Lamb of God, take away our sins
Lamb of God, take away our sins
Lamb of God, grant your people peace
Lamb of God, grant your people peace
Communion : Body of Christ
Body of Christ, Light of our lives
We’ve come to receive
Body of Christ, Light of our lives
You are the one in whom we believe.
Prepare your hearts
Prepare your minds
Prepare for the Bread of Life
And the hope you will find
You are the truth
You are the light
You are the way to eternal life
And the joy we will find
Communion Reflection
This is my beloved Son
In whom I am pleased.
Hear His word
Recessional : Serve the Lord
Go in peace, the Mass is ended
Go and serve the Lord.
Serve the Lord
One voice singing His praise
One heart we joyfully raise
One God who cares for us all
One God who answers our call
One friend who’ll always be there
One end we all long to share
